Child Safety Standards

Last updated: October 8, 2026

spotstr has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards explain what is prohibited, how to report it, and what we do when we find it.

spotstr is for adults only

You must be 18 or older to use spotstr. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older when they sign up, and we may ask for proof of age. If we learn that a user is under 18, we close the account and delete its data.

What is prohibited

  • Any content that sexualises a minor, including images, videos, drawings, text and links, whether real or computer-generated.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
  • Grooming: contacting, befriending or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes.
  • Sextortion, trafficking, or any attempt to exploit or endanger a minor.
  • Offering, requesting or advertising any service involving a minor in a sexual way.
  • Using spotstr to find, contact or arrange to meet a minor.

How to report

  • In the app: tap “…” on the profile, chat, review, deal or post, choose Report, and pick the reason that fits (for example “Nudity or sexual content” or “Unsafe or dangerous”). Add details if you can.
  • By email: support@spotstr.com, with “Child safety” in the subject line.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number (911 in the US) or the police first.
  • You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline (US) or to the hotline in your country listed by INHOPE.

Please don’t share, download or forward the material, even to report it. Describe where you saw it instead.

What we do

  • We review child safety reports as a priority.
  • We remove the content and close the accounts involved.
  • We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities, as required by law, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
  • We keep the information the law requires us to keep for an investigation.

How the app helps prevent abuse

  • 18+ age confirmation at sign-up.
  • Nudity, sexual content and sexual services are prohibited everywhere on spotstr (see the Community Guidelines).
  • Automatic filters for sexual solicitation in text, and scanning of photos and videos in deals before they go live.
  • Report and block on profiles, chats, reviews, deals and posts.

Compliance with the law

spotstr complies with applicable child safety laws, including the obligation to report CSAM to NCMEC under US law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) and equivalent laws in other countries where spotstr is available.
